Paperback giveaway time! #IrinChronicles

IMG_2920As most of you probably know, The Staff and the Blade is now available everywhere in e-book and paperback! Let me a cover a few FAQ that have popped up in the last couple days.

When is the audio coming and will Zach Webber be narrating again?

I don’t know, but yes! is my usual audio publisher and they have not offered for the book (yet!) but even if they do not, I will produce it myself. And I’ve already talked to Zach about the book and he’s excited to dive back into the Irin world. So it’ll be a wait, but there will be audio and I’m sure Zach will do an amazing job.

Will you be doing any signings this fall?

I don’t have any scheduled California right now, but I am excited to announce that I’ll be speaking and signing at GeekGirlCon in Seattle on Saturday, October 8, 2016. I’ll be speaking on a panel and then have signing table time, so I think I’ll be able to sell books, and I’ll be sure to have copies of The Staff and the Blade with me.

Which Irin Chronicles book is next and when will it be out?

I am working on the next Elemental World book next, A Stone Kissed Sea, with Lucien and Makeda (that will be the last in the Elixir story arc), then I’ll be writing a Benzin novella (the last one before their full series, which starts in 2017), and then I may or may not be returning to Cambio Springs. So I can’t tell you WHEN it will be, but I’m fairly certain that Leo and Kyra’s book will be next. (You guys had to see that one coming, right?)

Why wasn’t Rhys in The Staff and the Blade?

Um… I think he was somewhere complaining about the air-conditioning, I’m not sure.

Holy cow, the paperback is $16.99! Is it a doorstop and is there anywhere I can win a copy because I don’t way to pay that much?

I AM SO GLAD YOU ASKED! Yes, it’s a doorstop at almost 500 pages. And yes! I’m running paperback giveaways all this week and into next. In fact, there’s one going on right now on The Staff and the Blade Release page on Facebook.

I’m also doing a paperback giveaway right here on the website for a COMPLETE SET of the Irin Chronicles. So enter today and sign up to win!

That’s right: All. Four. Books.

This contest is open to everyone and will run until next Friday!

  1. Quiet Your Mind by Zac Brown Band

I can’t wait to dive back into the Elemental series, and please, please, pretty please write more about Cambio! (Would it help if I said pretty please with a cherry on top and sprinkles? Because sprinkles makes everything better! Haha!!)

  2. I love the Irin Chronicles, so thank you for the chance to win them! I cannot stop listening to Disturbed’s “Sound of Silence. “

  3. I haven’t been listening to music lately. I hope that doesn’t disqualify me! I love your books, Elizabeth, and the Irin Chronicles are some of my favorites!

  4. I just saw Demi Lovato in concert last Saturday and cannot stop listening to Confident & Cool for the Summer!

  5. I just got my copy ten minutes ago and it is so wonderfully long!! I’m listening to Dawes’s Waiting for Your Call.

  6. One of the main pieces of music I can’t stop listening to is Bella’s Lullaby by Carter Burwell from the Twilight film. It is just a lovely piece of music and nearly long enough. Other than that it is anything by Pink Floyd and whatever we are currently in Choir.

  7. Dusty Springfield singing “Going Back”. But with the state of the world at the moment, I think we all should be listening to Jackson Browne’s ” Lives in the Balance”.

If I beg, bribe, plead, will you please write Sean Quinn’s story, pretty please?

  8. So many Yay’s for this newsletter today. I finally got Chris Cornells “Higher Truth” cd and I love and can’t stop listen to “Nearly Forgot My Broken Heart.” I repeat it every time it comes up on my mp3 player.

  9. I want more Cambio Springs. I love it, love them. Hmm yes, I also want to know more about Sean Quinn. I’m trying to get everything to digital but that is not very conducive to signed copies. 🙂 Anne

  10. I’m stuck on Church Bells by Carrie Underwood. There’s something about country songs with women rising from the ashes… Thank you, Elizabeth!!

  11. A Thousand Years by Christina Perri…and, no, I never read or watched any of the Twilight books or movies!!! 🙂

  12. Unsteady by x ambassadors

I just finished part 2, and that’s was very hard to read can’t even imagine how painful that was to write. You are Amazing!

  13. Renegades by x ambassadors and x’s and o’s by Elle King. Thanks for all the hard work you put in on your books, it really does show in your writing. I have all your books in one form or another. Keep up the freakishly awesome work.

  15. Well I actually have a couple songs I could listen to over and over. ‘Follow You’ and ‘Avalanche’ by Bring Me The Horizon and ‘In Chains’ by Shamen’s Harvest. And while I haven’t read any of the Irin Chronicles yet I am looking forward to reading them. I loved the Elemental books and think you are a fabulous writer so I know The Irin Chronicles will be a new favorite of mine also.

  16. I can’t stop listening to Weezer’s Pork and Beans. For whatever reason it’s my ‘summer’ song and since the sun has made a surprise appearance, I’m in a summery mood lol

  17. Back and forth between Fast Car by Tracy Chapman and Deliverer by Matt Maher, both songs I heard echoing during my binge-reading of the Irin Chronicles. I’m dwelling on the character of Milena. So few strokes and yet she’s standing at the chalkboard in my mind–she won’t leave me. How did you do that?

  18. Song I can’t stop listening to? hmm I’m not one to put most things on repeat, but Exs and Ohs by Elle King is a good one, as well as anything by Imagine Dragons or George Ezra.

  19. thanks so much for the chance to win these amazing books! my favourite songs right now are Ride by twenty one pilots, Send My Love (to your new lover) by Adele, and This Is What You Came For for by Calvin Harris/Rihanna

  20. Ooh, Exs and Ohs is wonderful! However, I have several that are haunting me, but the one I keep returning to is Tuatha Dea’s “The Hum and the Shiver Full.” I also am completely smitten with Postmodern Jukebox and almost anything they do (I must admit, All About That Bass is a favorite).

  21. I really can’t stop listening to Johannesburg by Mumford and Sons! The whole album has me obsessed!

  22. Like the first Rebecca commenter, I’m totally addicted to JT’s Can’t Stop the Feeling!

Also, I have to say, that I’ve been voraciously reading through the Elemental Mysteries books– am I the 3rd one now. Love the series!!

  23. Actually it is the whole cast recording of Hamilton. It seems to be always playing in my head. The other songs are from Delta Rae – Dancing in the Graveyard and I Will Never Die.

  24. So I just started reading your books. I breezed through the Irin Chronicles and I’m OBSESSED!! Its definitely one of my favorite series. I can’t believe I haven’t read your books until them. Anyways I’ve been jamming to some Boys II Men and 98°.. I’m going to their concert in two weeks!! But Ok, I’m going to start the Elemental Mysteries, bye!!

  25. I’ve been listening non stop to Paramour’s The Only Exception. Love how it reminds me of how I feel about my man.
