The story is this: For a while now, Tenzin’s story has been occupying my mind at odd times. Not her future story, her past. Now, this is something that I’ve sketched out in my notes and even hinted at in other books like The Force of Wind. It’s not pleasant. She’s lived a long time, and those first years for her were really horrendous. But I just couldn’t get certain things off my mind. So, I decided to write them out.
I wasn’t even sure I was going to publish it, but in the end, I decided that I wanted to. You do NOT have to read her story for the rest of the books to make sense. This is pure backstory. But for Tenzin fans, you might gain some insight into who this character is.
I’m going to try to post a scene every week, so it won’t be a lot, but I will try to be consistent. It’s not a super long story. Probably 15-20,000 words or so. And I’ll be publishing it at the end, of course, so you’ll be able to buy it for your e-reader, if you like.
And this doesn’t mean I’m stopping work on THE SINGER! That’s still my main project, but I’m just picking away at this story. To be honest, it’s pretty intense, so it’s not something I want to work on for hours at a time. Bits and pieces are about all I can take.
So, for those of you dying for new Elemental fiction who want to read more about Tenzin’s past, here’s the link for THE BRONZE BLADE.
