Fourth and Final Contest Thread: Blood and Sand

And here’s your final contest this week. Enter here to win a signed copy of my newest book, Blood and Sand, the second novel in the Elemental World series.

Again, you can enter multiple times, so don’t worry about me disqualifying you for that. But one comment PER book, please. Also, comments are modified, so if you don’t see yours appearing right away, don’t worry! I’ll approve everyone (you know, unless you’re super-rude or something) so don’t leave comment after comment after comment… You know what I’m talking about.

Good luck to everyone!

  1. Can’t wait to find out more about this new baby! Would also like to see a book about Lucien. You write about the most interesting characters!

  2. Love your books! I can’t wait to read the Scribe! I just finished Carwyn’s book yesterday! You are so talented =)

  3. I read this in a permanent state of excitement, I adore Baojia, have from the very first moment you mentioned him. Amazing book.

  4. Really enjoyed the way you tie in all of the new characters without losing the relationship with the original ones. They each have such intricate stories to tell

  5. I didn’t like Baojia much in the Elemental Mysteries series but, this book definitely changed my mind. I had hoped to find out more about his friendship with Terry that was mentioned in Water Locked. Guess that will have to be explained in another book. Please keep them coming.

  6. I had so much stuff going on it took me two days to read Blood and Sand. I must admit I was so grumpy every time I was interrupted! Baojia and Natalie were GREAT! I also loved that part of the story took place in my hometown, San Diego. I would be beyond crazy-happy to have a REAL copy of it! And autographed too. *chills*

  7. I am immediately going to Amazon to buy the books I don’t win (all of them?) ’cause your writing is the “bomb”! πŸ™‚ Thanks again for this marvelous giveaway game. jdh2690@gmail.com

  8. This is the only one I haven’t read yet! Like I said on fb, nothing else exists when I am reading your books, only the words on the page and the pictures in my mind! The family know not to disturb me as I will only grunt at them. Your stories allow me to escape to a land of love and wonder and, for the time I am encompassed in the elemental world, they just let me be me and not a wife or mother. I am very grateful to you for that! Much love x

  9. Totally and truly LOVE how you branched off of the Elemental Mysteries Series. I was in no way ready to say good bye to those characters.

  10. I have to agree with Beth. I was so happy that you added the stories of the supporting characters in the Elemental Mysteries; they deserve to have their stories told as well!

  11. I spent the entire summer reading ALL of your books (My husband is a little jealous). I would love to have a signed copy. I can’t wait to see what is next.

  12. I was so excited when this one came out! I always loved Baojia, and was glad to see him get a shot at love and happiness!

  13. I loved this book, as I have everything you write. I’m anxiously awaiting your new book..the tidbits you’ve posted have left me craving more more more πŸ™‚

  14. You have become one of my favorite writers! You pulled me out of my reading funk after all the required reading I had to do in graduate school. Thank you for that. πŸ™‚

  15. Love all the elemental world stories! I am yet to read Blood and Sand but absolutely loved building from ashes and waterlocked!

  16. By chance I found your Elemental Mysteries Series…I LOVED Gio and B from the start. The introduction of new characters into their story was flawless. I really loved how you tweaked the Vampire Myths by giving them power over a single element. I was telling a co-worker about your books and she had the same issue I did. We couldn’t put them down until we completed both the Mysteries and World. I have only found one other series that I felt the need to go back and re-read.. Your is going to be the second. It’s a good think I’m on vacation next week. Thanks for the great story, Keep them coming!

  17. I loved this book, it was very different since this is the first set of characters to have a baby other than Dez of course. Ben was already much older by the time Gio found him so it will be interesting to see how Bao handles a screaming baby πŸ˜‰

  18. I love all the Elemental Mysteries/World. Can’t wait to see what comes next after Blood and Sand. Will we ever get to the bottom of the Exlir problem? I will be reading all you other books…love your writing style. They will help the pain of withdrawal while I wait for the next Elemental World book.

  19. Haven’t had a chance to read this one. Love all your books. Thanks so much for the stories, you are an amazing author.

  20. I love all your books. I have them all on my Kindle and read them numerous times. I have actually ordered paperbacks of A Hidden Fire and This Same Earth for a friend who doesn’t hav eKindle and i wanted to share my love of this world.

Blood and Sands was a fantastic book and almost felt like a family reunion. Looking forward to seeing what is next for Baojia and Natalie.

  21. I enjoyed this book so much, Baojia and Natalie were really great β™₯ Can’t wait for the next installment, I keep hoping it’s going to be about Ben and Tenzin.. BUt that would mean a lot of passed time in between the books, so…. I guess I’ll see what comes next πŸ™‚

  22. It is great that Baojia has his own story and more dimension. I have not yet finished the book but so far it’s been great although surprisingly not what I expected.
